About the Seminar
Penny's Rosemaling Seminars have been held at Camp Norge for decades and are led by highly skilled teachers. There are two classes per session, with each class capping out with 21 people.
Penny's Rosemaling seminar is open to painters of all skills levels. No prior experience needed. The seminars are held twice a year on the last full weekends of April and September. Registrations are accepted on a first come first serve basis and often sell out.
When
The Fall 2024 Seminar will be held on September 28 & 29. Instruction is from 9am-5pm on Saturday and 9am-11:30am on Sunday. There is an optional stroke class offered for $8 on Friday evening at 6pm. The stoke class is highly recommended for beginners.
Where
The seminar is held at Camp Norge in Alta, California. Camp Norge is a beautiful 46-acrea facility nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The facility offers rustic dorms, cabins, and lodge along with tent and RV sites. Learn more about the accommodations here.
Cost
The fee for the seminar is $150. This fee includes instruction, your prepped project piece, paint for the project, and 5 meals.
In addition, all attendees are required to pay for 2 nights of lodging, which totals to $40-80 depending on the type of accommodation you choose and if you are a Sons of Norway members. See the registration form for details. Accommodation fees are due upon arrival.
An optional Friday evening stoke class is offered by Onya for $8 cash.
